Chamonix: The Crystal Museum opens 19 December 2021

After more than two years of renovation, the Crystal Museum of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc is reopening to the public with an official inauguration the day before, on Saturday 18 December.

One of the finest collections of minerals

• The Crystal Museum exhibits the mineralogy collections of the Alpine Museum and the Mineralogy Club of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc and the Northern Alps.
• The museum is today one of the 10 most important French mineralogy museums open to the public.
• The alpine part of the collections is the most complete and diversified in France.
• The museum is located at the foot of the Mont-Blanc massif, visited every summer by crystal collectors, with whom it maintains a strong relationship.
• The exhibition route starts in Chamonix to lead the visitor to the discovery of all the mineralogy of the world.
• Nearly 1900 crystals on display in a 700 m² space.
• The dark scenography in the rooms, brings out all the brilliance of the pieces exhibited in the window.

Outside school holidays : 2 p.m. - 6 p.m.
School holidays: 10 a.m. - 12 noon / 2 p.m. - 6 p.m.
July and August: 10 a.m. - 12 noon / 2 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Closed on 1st January, 1st May and 25 December
