Chamonix: new features on the Nordic ski areas

This Saturday 11 December, three Nordic ski areas have opened: Chamonix, Argentière and Vallorcine are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

A new ticketing system with an RFID-type pass that allows checks to be carried out without stopping the skier. Thus, the random checks on the track will be more frequent.
In Chamonix, the interior of the Roby-Baisse Nordic house has been redesigned and left-luggage lockers will soon be available.
Vallorcine is also equipped with a bank payment terminal, which was not yet equipped.
On the ski slopes, a new snow cannon is positioned at the DZ des Bois, near the helicopter landing area.
A new snow groomer should soon join the equipment park. This alpine type groomer, but equipped with a Nordic tiller, will be able to groom on thin layers of snow thanks to its rubber tracks.
