Kathy Murphy Mountain Guide Chamonix

Originally from the Lake District in the UK, where she worked as an Outdoor Activities Teacher, later specialising in climbing, skiing and mountaineering.

Her climbing activities have taken her to North and South America, Africa and Asia as well as over 20 Alpine seasons in Europe. Kathy now spends most of her time in the Alps.

During the winter her main activities are off-piste skiing and ski touring. Summertime is spent in Switzerland, where she often works for the International School of Mountaineering, Leysin.

This work takes her to many different regions of the Alps, sometimes climbing the more difficult 4000m peaks and at other times, more gentle, glacial treks.
