Brevent , probably the best place to see Mont Blanc from, 4,810m
Discover the Brevent and its great panoramic view of the Chamonix Valley including a stunning view of Mont Blanc. From Chamonix, you can take the gondola/telecabine lift to Plan Praz (1,999m), then the cable car to Le Brévent (2,525m).
Plan Praz is the starting point for many great trekking routes, including walking trips to Lake Cornu and Grand Balcon Sud. It also known as a great take-off area for paragliding.
From the top of Le Brévent, a footpath goes to Aiguillette des Houches via the Bel-Lachat mountain hut.
The climbing walls of Brévent that face Mont Blanc, are a sunny, pleasant and quiet climbing spot, just a 5 minutes walk from the top of the cable car.
There are two restaurants on this route. Firstly "La Bergerie" serves traditional cuisine and snacks located at Plan Praz. In Le Brévent, the "Le Panoramique" restaurant offers traditional French cuisine and a unique panoramic view of Mont Blanc.
