Zermatt takes the Boss des Bosses

As one Cham telemarker so eloquently put it, "I did not want to be beaten by a chicken." But Zermatt, dressed in giant chicken suits, put on a really good show and managed to top Chamonix for yet another year.

Representing Chamonix:

- Skiers: Camille Jacoux, Bruno, Jamie Strachan, Joey "Hucker," Glenn Plake, Kimberly Plake, Stephanie

- Telemarkers: Orjan de la Chambre 9 & John, the Dorffmeister

- Snowboarders: Dax aka the Mexican wrestler & Jean Claude Van Damme

Changing weather cut the event short, pitting Zermatt and Chamonix in the final, Val d'Isere and Meribel for 3rd place, and Verbier and Courchevel for 5th place.

The final results were: Zermatt, Chamonix, Val d'Isère, Méribel, Verbier, and Courchevel.

Missing this year were Engelberg and Val Thorens, although it was great to have Verbier back. This year the course was moved back to the Plan Joran area making the bumps somewhat less steep than last year's course by the snowpark.

Although the event kicked off in sunshine, conditions worsened making the top of the course invisible (which hid a couple spectacular falls). A Zermatt skier really nailed an amazing backflip off the kicker to the oohs and ahhs of all the supporters. But the Boss des Bosses is not all about moguls and jumps, it's about the party on the slopes and on into the night.

Jonathan Trigell and Adam Johnston made the commentary and The Vert hotel and DJ Jimbo entertained with live music and drinks. La Terrasse hosted the prize giving and the Vert, the official after party. Moustached Tom, the founder of it all, was spotted partying well on into the night/early morning as were other members of Team Chamonix.
