Chamonix: Closure of Route des Gaillands on 2-3 and 9-10 Nov 2017

According to the town hall of Chamonix, in order to secure the Route des Gaillands, very crowded, it was decided to set up devices to reduce vehicle speed and increase safety for all road users: chicanes as well as a bus stop platform will be installed.
The Route des Gaillands will be closed to traffic the 2nd and 3rd of November, between 8am and 6pm, to facilitate the roadworks.
Traffic is prohibited in the work area, at the right of the bus stop of Les Pècles (SNCF stops).
The residents and rescue teams will be able to access both sides of the road.
For transit vehicles:
- in Chamonix, a deviation by the Courmayeur Avenue from the roundabout Lionel Terray.
- in Les Bossons, a deviation by the the bridge of Gaillands for the light-duty vehicles and Route des Montquarts for the heavy goods vehicles.
A new safer Route des Gaillands for all road users
The Route des Gaillands will be closed again on the 9th and 10th of November, between 8am and 6pm, for resurfacing work led by the Haute-Savoie departmental council.
From mid-November, the Route des Gaillands will be open.
