Magnus League: Chamonix was beaten by Bordeaux 7-1

Tuesday evening 20th February 2018, Chamonix was beaten by Bordeaux 7-1, in the last regular season game of the SAXOPRINT Magnus League which took place at the Meriadeck Ice Rink.

Chamonix prepares for the Poule de Maintien

Condemned to play the poule de maintien, the players of Heikki Leime have the ambition to prepare the playdowns in the best possible way. The opponents of the Poule de Maintien are Nice, Epinal and Strasbourg. Check out the overall ranking

The playdowns will begin next Tuesday 27th February

The 2018 calendar has been published:

Chamonix VS Épinal - Tuesday 27th February at 8:30pm in Chamonix;
Nice VS Chamonix - Friday 2nd March at 8pm in Nice;
Chamonix VS Strasbourg - Tuesday 6th March at 8:30pm in Chamonix;
Strasbourg VS Chamonix - Friday 9th March at 8pm in Strasbourg;
Epinal VS Chamonix - Friday 16th March in Épinal;
Chamonix VS Nice - Friday 23rd March in Chamonix.

In the playdowns, the hockey teams ranked from 9th to 12th will compete against each other in a mini-championship where the direct points acquired during the confrontations between these four teams in the regular season will be kept. An important phase where the physical and psychological aspect play an important role for the teams.

The first thing we know for the moment is that Chamonix should start the poule de maintien in 3rd position, with 10 points ahead The Black Star of Strasbourg.

We remind you that at the end of the poule de maintien, the team that loses (ranked 12th) is set back to Division 1.
