Kilian Jornet links-up seven mountains on skis in less than 24 hours!

The Spanish ultra trail runner Kilian Jornet (35 years old) has succeeded in his latest challenge: linking the seven most imposing mountains in Norway on ski touring in just 21 hours and 28 minutes.

Connect seven Norwegian mountains by skiing and climbing

All while climbing and descending them one by one. That's 76.5 km of effort… and above all 9,257 m of elevation gain! A record for Kilian, reached on Wednesday 5 April 2023.

Most of the peaks he has climbed culminate between 1.000 and 2.000 meters above sea level. Kilian knows very well this region of Norway since he lives there with his girlfriend Emelie Forsberg, also a trail runner.

7 major summits of Romsdal: Gjuratind 1712m, Store Vengetind 1852m, Kvanndalstind 1744m, Romsdalshorn 1552m, Store Trolltind 1788m, Kongen 1614m and Dronninga 1544m.

“Probably my most epic ski day ever. Lots of wind to add a bit more spicyness at the challenge linking the 7 major  Romsdal summits,” he wrote on Strava, revealing some photos of his adventure. Watch the video here below.

A mix of endurance and mountaineering that will serve for his next goal

A good rehearsal for Kilian Jornet before leaving for the Himalayas next September, where a similar challenge awaits him, mixing mountaineering and endurance at higher altitudes in the Nepalese mountains.
