This weekend during the World Cup Ski Mountaineering in Tromso, Norway, 2 athletes from the Club des Sports de Chamonix won two medals: gold for Nina Silitch and bronze for Yann Gachet.
Yann Gachet offers himself the podium!
It was his goal since the beginning of the season and everybody knows that he is a killer on transitions. At the end it is the German Josef Rottmoser, the actual world champion, that takes the gold. Andreas Steindl (SUI) finishes 2nd and Yann Gachet takes the third place. A bronze medal that rewards a great season!
Nina Silitch does it again!
Since the 2013 World Championships, where she had arrived "only" second, Nina thinks only one thing: revenge. Exactly a year after her first victory in the World Cup (also in Tromso, Norway), we must believe that Tromso is a lucky place for her, since the Chamoniarde wins again ahead of the Swiss armada: Emilie Gex Fabry and Mireille Richard. Valentine Favre also from the Club des Sports de Chamonix finishes 6th.
