To note that this year, hikers and mountaineers who want to get to the Albert I refuge, without getting too steep, will not be able to count on the Charamillon cable car and the Autannes chairlift, closed all summer due to gondola renovation work at the start of Le Tour.
At the Grands Montets, the Plan Joran cable car will also run every day during the middle of the summer season. However, it will start a little later.
Despite the start of the general renovation of the Montenvers site, the Montenvers Train will operate almost normally. All dates & times are available here
Attention: The Montenvers Train will be closed this Thursday 9 June, so that work can be carried out that requires the closure of this rack line that is more than a hundred years old.
The Aiguille du Midi and the Panoramic Mont-Blanc cable car will run daily in the summer, except on days of very bad weather and high winds.
Note that a first train will run from the Fayet at 7 a.m. from 9 July to allow climbers heading for Mont Blanc by its normal route to cross the Goûter corridor earlier.
The Bossons chairlift makes it easier for hikers to get to the glacier bar and to the Chalet des Pyramides.
