Tomorrow, the French TV channel "France 2" will broadcast its programme about an ascent of Mt Blanc, "The Extraordinary Powers of the Human Body", with Michel Cymes and Adriana Karembeu (the "top model" wife of French footballer Christian Karembeu).
For several days, the TV channel has been announcing the programme with great fanfare teasers, such as: "unlikely duo to conquer Mont Blanc" and "four days that may lead to the top".
However, in the valley, few people have forgotten their ascent due to the fact that a good part of it was infact made by... helicopter, which dropped the team off at the top of the "Col de la Brenva".
Yesterday, the Mayor of Saint-Gervais Jean-Marc Peillex, previously a fan of this type of operation, has reignited the arguement via a press release. He believes France 2 will be "caught in the act of spreading false information". During filming, Michel Cymes had promised that "it will be very clear that we went up in a helicopter".
The programme will be this Tuesday at 20:45hrs. Make up your own mind!
