Col des Montets closed - 7 March 2017

The D1506 road over the Col des Montets is closed since Monday 6 March 2017, at 10 pm, due to the big snow falls and high risk of avalanche.

According to Radio Mont Blanc the Col des Montets route (D1506) is closed until further notice. We are monitoring the status of the road and will update this page when re-opens.

Traffic information 7 March:

• The SNCF train does not circulate on the route Montroc - Vallorcine.
• The road from Fis to Argentière is closed for the moment. The deviation by railway of the old furnace is set up.
• The buses initially planned on Le Tour will stop at the Chosalets or at the Grands Montets.
