The organisers of the Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc announced yesterday that the alternative courses for 2013 event will be decided in advance, in case of bad weather (which been the case for the last 2 years).
This follows the disappointment of several runners of the 2012 event, where the bad weather UTMB alternative route left some people unhappy for not being challenging enough,
The UTMB, CCC and TDS will have alternative routes much closer in distance and elevation to the original courses.
