The Hotel Refuge du Montenvers Mer de Glace Chamonix. Accessible only by train from Montenvers-Mer de Glace station, the Refuge du Montenvers is housed in a 19th century building located at an altitude of 1913 meters. Built in 1880 to accommodate the first mountaineers and travelers who came to visit the Mer de Glace, this refuge sees the light of day again after the 2017 renovation.
