It's mid November, and the mountains are looking beautiful with a carpet of white above 2000m. The sun is out this week, but with cool temperatures, and with a possible snowy storm heading our way later in the week.
The chamonix.net team travelled to Cervinia in Italy over the weekend for a winter warm up session. There is some great snow around in the Alps, and we could ski from 2000m right up to 3800m on North facing slopes, on top of the world!
It is time to start getting excited for the ski season, with the Grands Montets nearly set to open weekend access after it snows some more, and Courmayeur resort due to open on November 30th. We should be able to ski every day within a couple of weeks!
Our snow reporter Steve went on an early November snow search to Norway to get his skiing legs in shape for the Chamonix early season.
